Q.
Let's say I cover all 50 of my students at the beginning of the year. The
next month, 8 more children enroll in the center. Will they be covered?
A.
Yes. We will
cover the additional children — at no extra
premium —in most situations. However, if the
number of additional children exceeds 50% of the
original enrollment, additional premium would be
required.
Q.
What if children leave the center during the school year. Will I
receive a refund?
A.
No. Refunds
will not be made for insured who leave the center before policy
expiration date.
Q.
Can I select which children I want to cover?
A.
No. All
children (from birth through age 13) must be covered under
the plan.
Q.
Most of the children in my care are covered by their parent's insurance
plan. Whose insurance pays if I have them covered as well?
A.
It depends on
whether you select primary or excess coverage. If you
select primary coverage, the Student Accident Plan will pay
FIRST—then any other insurance that the child has
would pay. If you select excess coverage, the Student
Accident Plan will pay after any other insurance the child
has. (Primary coverage is only available for
full day programs.)
Q.
Is there a minimum number of children you need to have enrolled?
A.
No —
however there is a minimum premium required. If you
select the primary plan, the minimum premium is $250 per
coverage period (9 months, 12 months, etc). If you
select the excess plan, the minimum premium is $150 per
coverage period.
Q.
Can the teachers be covered?
A.
Yes. If you
want teachers to be covered, then all teachers and
supervisors in the center must be covered under the
plan. Other occupations such as full time cooks or
maintenance workers are not eligible to be covered.
Q.
My center is only open during the summer. Can I still purchase
this plan?
A.
Yes, we do have a
3-month program available during June, July and
August.
Q.

10% premium discount is available if your center is
accredited through NAEYC.
Q.
Are there any restrictions on which
hospital or providers I use?

many medical
plans, there are
no restrictions on
medical
facilities,
providers,
ambulance or other
emergency
