Kids play hard ... and sometimes they get hurt. The Student Accident Protection Program can't prevent accidents, but it can help take the sting out of the ones that do occur. When medical attention is required, the Student Accident Protection Program goes to work for you, paying up to $25,000 in medical expenses. The program covers serious emergencies, as well as smaller everyday accidents, like sprained ankles and stitches.

• Pre-Schools
• Licensed In-Home Family Facilities
• Child Care Centers
• Kindergartens
• Project Head Start Centers 
• Summer Special/Before and After Special Needs (Students & Centers)
  

Parent/Guardian Protection

The plan pays up to 12 months tuition per covered child if a parent or guardian becomes permanently and totally disabled or dies as a result of an accident while the coverage is in effect.


Dental Work Included 
Benefits extended to include coverage of up to $500 per tooth if any dental work is required as the result of an accident 


Flexible Coverage Options

• Primary: Plan benefits are PAID FIRST —  regardless of any other insurance coverage. 
 
• Excess: Plan benefits are PAID AFTER any other insurance benefits have been paid.

Deductibles:

• Full-Day:  $0 or $100 per accident


• Half-Day: $0 per accident

Covered Services for Accidents

• Medical or surgical treatment, services or supplies
• Hospital nursing and ambulance services
• Physician and surgeon fees
• Dental expenses: Expenses must begin within 26 weeks of the date of the accident and must be incurred within 52 weeks of the date of the accident.
 

Covered Individuals
All students (and teachers and supervisors, if benefit selected) are covered for accidents while:

• participating in child care activities
• traveling with a group in connection with center activities 
• traveling in connection with center activities (only if driven by a licensed driver appointed by the program or center director) 

Choose the Providers You Want
Unlike many medical plans, there are no restrictions on medical facilities, providers, ambulance or other emergency services. 

Accidental Death Benefit
Accidental Death and Dismemberment is automatically included.  This plan pays the following lump sum benefits for accidental loss of life, limbs or sight within 180 days of a covered accident.  If more than one loss results from the same accident, only the largest applicable benefit will be paid.
